This session serves to inform, educate and transform the viewer by reinforcing Natural Awakenings magazine’s tagline… feel good, live simply and laugh more.
Feeling good entails a mindset of self-care and self-nurturing. Self-love is the core of our human existence and you are reminded that feeling good physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually is your responsibility and doing so naturally whenever possible, provides a strong foundation for overall health and well- being.
Living Simply is a reminder to do our part to foster care for the earth and environment, and to forge relationships within our communities to share resources and support sustainable living.
Laughing More is just plain fun. And it’s good for us, mentally, emotionally and physically. Laughter, humor and smiles release positive endorphins, help reduce stress and boost the immune system, all of which help strengthen our overall health and well-being.
The magazine’s founder, Sharon Bruckman says, “As local publishers in the natural health and wellness niche, our job is to keep our finger on the pulse of advancing thought in order to keep everyone apprised of the best healthy-life choices available to them.” Natural Awakenings magazine is published in regional markets around the country and offers a practical look at the latest natural approaches to nutrition, fitness, creative expression, personal growth and sustainable living, which help readers map out alternate routes to a healthier, happier, longer life – a life that feels good all the way around.
Sharon Bruckman is the founder and CEO of Natural Awakenings Publishing Corp., now the nation’s largest franchise publishing network in the mind-body-spirit field, with nearly 100 magazines published in local markets around the country reaching 4 million people each month. The magazine helps educate readers and supports natural health and sustainable-living business owners. Bruckman launched the original Natural Awakenings magazine in Naples, Florida, in 1994 when she recognized the need in her local community for a resource to share information and connect with people searching for alternative and natural ways of caring for their health and the environment. Since then, her enterprise has grown organically, responding to people’s increasing awareness of the critically interlinked issues we face today because of mainstream approaches to health care, food production and environmental systems. Bruckman is grateful to be sharing her dream of “healthy living on a healthy planet.” She believes the real “natural awakening” is about each one of us waking up to whom we truly are and the kind of world we can create together.
